"Sind Sie Luigi?" ist ein Kurzfilmklassiker - auf über
100 Festivals weltweit gezeigt, 14-fach preisgekrönt, auch auf wichtigen
Festivals in den USA. Er zeigt Claus Theo Gärtner in einer völlig
anderen Rolle, als wir ihn kennen. "Sind Sie Luigi?" wurde häufig
bei arte, dem SWR und auf EinsFestival gezeigt, ebenso im Ausland.

Synopsis
Ein Mann wird auf einer Zugreise gefragt,
ob er Luigi ist. Ohne groß darüber nachzudenken, sagt
er nein. Er ist nicht Luigi, und er fragt auch nicht weiter nach.
Was sich bald als Fehler herausstellt - denn nun wird unser Mann
gefangen in seinen Überlegungen: Was hat diese Frage bedeutet?
Was wollte diese Frau? Und, vor allem: Warum
hat er nicht sofort gefragt, was die Frage sollte?
Immer tiefer fällt der Mann in seine Gedanken...
und vernachlässigt dabei seinen möglichen Ausweg: Die
Kommunikation.
On a train journey, a woman asks
a man: "Are you Luigi?". The man answers "no"
without thinking about it and without asking any further questions.
He's definitely not "Luigi". But soon he's caught up in
his fantasies: What was the meaning of that question? What did the
woman want? And above all, why didn't he inquire immediately about
the point of the question?
